The Social Report

The idea behind a social report is usually to inform the outside world of the aspects and characteristics of a company’s commitment. Very often, commendable initiatives and strong choices are unpublicised and remain an internal asset of the company.

The primary motivation in choosing to draft this social report is, instead, the opportunity for self-analysis that it offers CMS S.p.A. and FGR srl. It is a chance to review our policies in respect to those with whom we interact, to see if, for example, our environmental management, human capital, or local community policies are tailored to the characteristics of a company that aspires to be considered "socially responsible".

Being "socially responsible" during a long-lasting economic slump is not easy, but it is all the more necessary, which is why, here at CMS and FGR, we have endeavoured to focus more attention on the social consequences of our actions.

The Social Report refers specifically to relations with corporate stakeholders: our employees, local communities and area, the environment, customers, suppliers, and banks. It explores the meanings of sustainability and economic responsibility, of social and environmental issues, and it sets out the objectives and measures the results obtained.
