QUALITY CONTROL AND TESTING
-
Testing is fundamental to verify the final product’s conformity and to guarantee that the Customer’s specifications have been complied with throughout the whole process. C.M.S. has functional, electrical and mechanical testing equipment, as well as coordinate-measuring systems and inspection instruments for checks on both components and products. This phase can also be organised and performed in close contact with the Customer, by means of site visits and audits.
UL CERTIFICATION FOR THE USA MARKET
One of the world’s largest economies, the USA is a very versatile, profitable market. However, the country’s special regulatory framework imposes very strict requirements.
The UL mark confirms compliance with safety standards and certifies the conformity of electronic products with regard to potential fire, electric shock and mechanical hazard risks. It is a major distinguishing factor, in which C.M.S. has invested time and resources, achieving UL 508A – Industrial Control Panels – Certification as Enclosures Manufacturer Technical Representative (MTR). In the highly competitive packaging industry, standing out from the crowd is fundamental. The award of this important certification to the relevant staff reflects an active, constant commitment to our Customers operating on the North American market.
TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION
The C.M.S. assembly department has a process technical office tasked with managing all technical documentation and guaranteeing that every phase of the process is performed in accordance with company standards and the Customer’s specifications. Its main functions include technical analysis of drawings and writing of assembly cycles. Collaborating closely with the relative department, the assembly technical office identifies and resolves any criticalities regarding the mounting of components and draws up the final report for the Customer, with a complete, accurate account of the work done.
MANAGEMENT OF TECHNICAL MODIFICATIONS
With our operational flexibility, we are able to manage any technical changes requested by Customers even during assembly itself, ensuring that any variations requested are made with the same care and attention found throughout our production process. The company rapidly implements design changes made during the process, maintaining the same prioritisation of final product quality. Our technicians and skilled workers collaborate closely with the Customer to understand and introduce the changes required, minimising downtimes. What’s more, the use of state-of-the-art management systems enables them to monitor operations in real time, guaranteeing the utmost efficiency and perfect synchronisation amongst the company areas involved. All changes made are traced and notified to the Customer in a specific report.
TRACEABILITY
