Stainless steel is widely used in contexts where contact with food is expected.
It is perfectly suitable for the food sector because of its hygienic properties: with its compact surface, it enables a high degree of bacterial removal and has low microbial retention.
PHARMA

PHARMA

Just like the food sector, the pharma market also requires special measures, and stainless steel is recommended for a variety of production processes since it is resistant to:

  • corrosion, a property which reduces the risk of contamination, even for products with volatile particles;
  • extreme temperatures, often extremely low in the pharmaceutical market.

BENEFITS OF STAINLESS STEEL

Stainless steel is a ferrous alloy containing more than 10.5% chromium and less than 1.2% carbon, percentages which mean that on contact with oxygen a protective (passivated) layer resistant to corrosion and oxidation forms on its surface. Stainless steel is therefore both very hard-wearing and biologically and aesthetically neutral, with an excellent hygiene coefficient and very easy to clean.

  • Guarantee the sourcing and management of all raw materials and the performance of surface treatments and/or coatings used in the sector.
  • Process materials to the Customer’s design, in accordance with strict in-house GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), developed for this specific sector.
  • Ensure traceability of the batch or individual serial number, marked on traceable components.
  • Correlate traceability with accompanying documentation such as certifications, measurements and declarations of conformity, as agreed with the Customer.
